2.4 Kilometers in San Miguel de Cozumel
San Miguel de Cozumel streets are designed for sauntering. Every block south of Avenida 30 has something worth pondering. One may find the local Abarrotes shop with snacks and people chatting outside about the neighbor’s kids who left town two months ago next to the grandmother sweating under her Antojitos sign cooking snacks for the working guys. If you go into the touristy part by the water, steakhouses, trinket bodegas, Hooters, and Senior Frog’s all cater to the transient visitors from the cruise ships or the resorts further down the island on the highway outside of town.
Today, I took Avenida 5 to the gym and Avenida 10 back home with a little jog down through Punta Langosta before cutting back to the roads off the ocean drag. I set a goal to shoot all of the murals, graffiti and anything else that looked interesting, and I ended up taking 172 photos in about 40 minutes. For this trip, I used the Nikon D850 with a Sigma 18-35 Art lens, which is made for a crop sensor.
