Of all sea creatures I have encountered, the octopus lives on a different physical and temporal plane than everything else. They defy space with their shapeshifting abilities, and their intelligence is unmatched by most marine creatures.

I have seen the Caribbean octopus during the day, but they are most active at night when they go on the hunt. When I caught the octopus in the video below, it was fully aware I was filming it from about two meters away. Still, it let me follow it as it continued on its hunt. Some other divers said that this octopus had just finished fighting with another octopus before I arrived to film.
